The Family-2008

It's a new year and I've made my resolution. I'm starting this blog and I'm going to try my best to keep it somewhat up to date. It may not sound like much, but for those of you who know me it's a pretty big deal. After all, I did just get my first digital camera for Christmas(from my wonderful husband) and my sister(Cindy) has been bugging me to post a blog for...forever so she can see updated pictures of her nieces. This is for you Cindy!!!

Last year was a bit of a roller coaster for us. I got pregnant in January and struggled for months with morning sickness(more like all day and all night sickness). We've done some major renovations to our house and I managed to live through a whole year with no kitchen. For those of you who make fun of me constantly for it, our kitchen will be done by the end of the month...maybe. Jason has been busy with work, renovating, school, side work, and fatherhood so I feel like we've missed out on a lot of family time. He's such a hard worker and a great father. I'm pretty sure this year will be much better. Jason is taking his last course this semester and will get his Civil Engineering Technology Degree in April. I'm so proud of him!! His job is still a day by day thing. After being laid off by Beazer, he got a job with an engineering company and is still doing land development. The problem is the housing market. If it gets any worse, he could lose his job all over again. God really came through for us by providing this job for Jason. No matter what happens, I know He has it all planned out for us-No Worries. Taylor just turned 4. Wow, how the years pass by so quickly. She is so beautifull and smart. I can't believe my little girl is getting so big. She became a big sister on October 11, 2007. Camryn Elise is now 3 months and weighs somewhere around 12lbs. She's a beauty too. She looks just like her daddy. Taylor has been wonderful with her and loves hugging and kissing the baby. Camryn prefers to have her personal space but how do you explain that to the most loving 4 yr old in the world. Anyway, that's a summary of where we've been.

Now for 2008! Like I said, my kitchen should be done by the end of the month. Jason will be done with school in April. We hope to get the majority of the renovations done and paid for by the end of this year so we can move into a bigger home next year. I'm not yet done with my family. We do plan on waiting several more years though so we can accomplish a few things. Pregnancy really puts me out. As my friend Tara would say, it turns me into an 80yr old woman. Jason will be taking his tests to become a Professional Surveyor and has talked about starting his own business. We'll see where the Lord leads us. Taylor won't start school this year but will continue with Mother's Morning Out on Tues. and Thurs.. I plan to nurse Camryn until she turns one. Some may think I'm crazy but I know it's what's best for my little girl. Hopefully I'll be able to lose the last couple of pounds my pregnancy so graciously left me. Until then, Jason and I have vowed to eat better and excercise more as a family. I hope to get Taylor into some Tennis lessons with her friend Grace. That should be quite fun. Well, I guess that's all for now but there will be so much more. There's never a dull moment in The Bowick Family!
